Melinda (Mindy) Cairns has been a practising physiotherapist for over 20 years; qualifying from Guys Hospital in 1991. Her clinical and research passions are the diagnosis and management of musculoskeletal pain and dysfunction, specifically spinal pain which she pursued to PhD level. She is a Fellow of the Musculoskeletal Association of Chartered Physiotherapist (MACP) (https://macpweb.org/home/) and is currently the UK representative for the International Federation of Orthopaedic Manipulative Therapists (IFOMPT).
When not busy treating patients at Physiocare, Mindy spends her time as a Post-Doctoral Research Fellow at the University of Hertfordshire where she is involved in clinical research trials, publishing research papers and teaching post-graduate physiotherapy students.
