Dr “Mindy” Cairns trained at Guys Hospital qualifying in 1991. Following this she has worked in both the NHS and private sectors, gaining a wide range of experience before specialising in the treatment of musculoskeletal dysfunction and injury. In 1996 she undertook an MSc in Manipulative Therapy to further develop her clinical skills and begin to specialise in the management of back and spinal pain. She went on to gain her PhD in 2002 while holding a split clinical/research role at the Royal Orthopaedic Hospital in Birmingham.
Despite being an all round clever clogs, she also has 2 young children and admits to having not a lot of time for anything much else; she does enjoy cooking (especially vegetarian), long country walks and keeping abreast of current affairs through the medium of Radio 4.
